Dream Library Mural
The neighborhood mural on the east wall of 5700 W. Vliet St., known as the 'Washington Heights Dream Library", was installed five years ago at the peak of the pandemic. Over the years, it has become a destination of sorts, with hundreds of people posing for photos and enjoying the
delightful images and history the mural imparts.
Many people have traveled considerable distances to take their photo in front of the incredible "bookshelf"! Stopping in the bookstore to browse, we have a met librarians, teachers, bibliophiles, and people of all ages who have come to "see it for themselves".
We thought it would be fun to start to document some of our visitors from far and near through photos shared here. It's long overdue but a great way to celebrate the Fifth anniversary of the mural this August 2025. Enjoy!!
